Step inside an animal cell to explore the first stage of glucose metabolism. In this interactive simulation, students independently carry out glycolysis — the anaerobic breakdown of glucose. Following prompts, they add the necessary reactants, identify the resulting products, observe the formation of reduced NADH, and track how energy is stored in molecules of ATP.
