General Simulation Description

Metabolismo: Parte 2. Reação de ligação

Explore a ligação entre a glicólise e o ciclo de Krebs — transforme o piruvato em acetil-CoA, liberte CO₂ e forme NADH para se preparar para a fase seguinte da respiração celular.

About

Metabolism: Part 2. Link Reaction

Continue the journey through cellular respiration by exploring the link reaction between glycolysis and the Krebs cycle. In this interactive simulation, students refer back to the previous glycolysis simulation by transferring its end products — pyruvate molecules — from the cytoplasm into the mitochondrion. Following guidance, they add the required inputs and observe how each pyruvate is converted into acetyl-CoA, releasing carbon dioxide and generating NADH — preparing the cell for the next stage of aerobic respiration.
